Sri Lanka's calendar is filled with colorful festivals celebrating Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian traditions.

Major Festivals:

1. Sinhala & Tamil New Year (April)
- Celebrated by both Sinhalese and Tamils

2. Vesak (May - Full Moon)
- Celebrates Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and death

3. Esala Perahera (July/August - Kandy)
- Sri Lanka's grandest festival
- 10 days of processions
